This afternoon, Rohan D’Souza, Bhavica Patel and Alexandra Georgieva became the first ever WMSF students to take part in the Bank of England’s prestigious Target 2.0 competition.
After months of hard work they gave a 15 minute presentation to three of the bank's economists (and a rather large audience) at Regents College. They were commended by the judges for their ‘grasp of global macroeconomic issues’ and ‘balanced analysis of the banks asset purchase programme’.
This competition attracts some of the brightest young economists in the country; indeed today we were up against St Pauls Girls’ School, Sutton Grammar School for Boys’ and Latymer Upper School.
Our students were fantastic; they were exemplary ambassadors of WMSF and impressed all those who saw them. Latymer ultimately triumphed; but they will remember the students of WMSF.
