We provide an extensive programme that helps our students apply successfully for university. The Careers area is based in the student services centre well-stocked with information on careers, universities and courses, and student life. Our HE adviser, based in the Student Services Centre, is available for one-to-one guidance and there is a daily drop in service available. Group sessions are run at various times through the year to support particular groups of students.

Tutors play a very important role. There is an extensive programme within tutorials that leads from initial ideas, through research and exploration, to application.

Support doesn’t end with the application – through the whole process students are offered information and guidance on interview preparation, replying to offers, student finance and getting ready for university life. Advisors are available at results time, to help students through Clearing if necessary, and celebrate others’ success.

A regular bulletin informs students of taster days, masterclasses, summer schools and other opportunities to help them make informed choices, and strengthen their application. This includes annual higher education events held on site.

We have partnership agreements with several London universities and others who support our work as and when they can.

We are proud that so many students go to university each year and take their next step in realising their ambitions.
